I thought we were discussing technical issues here...
So back to my question about iTunes stalling/crashing when a damaged disk is being encoded.
Isn't this a bit weak that one has to force quit iTunes because of this ???
Yes, but have you tried the "use error correction on Audio CDs" feature (found in the Importing preferences of iTunes 4.x)? Does it still have problems after that?
If the discs are that badly damaged, maybe you should take anticipatory steps like cleaning the CDs first.
