The situation seems to have improved
since I updated to OS 10.3.4, plus the latest Appleworks patches.  I
don't know if an OS upgrade is a possibility for you, but it might
help.
Sounds like a good idea. Don, if you check with dealmac.com and type in 
"Panther," I'll bet you can find a good price an OEM copy of 10.3 and I 
can certainly recommend Panther for myriad other reasons. Hey, it's 
cheaper than Filemaker! :)
