I updated my iMac (original Bondi Blue RevB) with OS X over the updated
 OS 9.2.2.
Is there a way to change the sleep or turn it off completely?

You could try SleepLess, a small freeware app that will keep your Mac awake when it is running. This is quicker than going into System Prefs. --

Somehow I think that taking a few seconds to go into System Preferences and making the change to "Never" would be faster than: 1. googoling for "Sleepness", 2. searching the results for the correct link, 3. downloading the software, 4. installing the software, and 5. configuring the software.
