Sorry, I'm talking about an internal drive. I bought a Western Digital 120 GB drive for about $50 with rebates, but on the package, it says the minimum system requirements for Mac are a G4 with an OSX 10.2 operating system. I bought a 80 and 120 previously, about one and two years ago, respectively, but didn't even look to check if there were any requirements on those. I installed them in my Quiksilver 733 with no problem. I tried installing the original 40 GB HD from the G4 in my iMac. After installing, I re-formatted it, but the iMac would not boot from it. The drive said that it was made for the G4, so I have run into this type of thing before.

I'm looking for a reasonably priced 120 GB hard drive for my Grape 333 Rev. A iMac. I bought one at OfficeMax, (the only electronics store besides Radio Shack in town), but it is only for a G4 running OSX 10.2.

Are you talking about an internal or an external drive? And how is it "only for a G4 running OSX 10.2" -- can't you just reformat it if necessary?
