iMac 350 slot loading given to me. 9.0.4, 6GB, 192MB with the
firmware video problem. I figured out the fix of getting the screen
to light up (waiting for desktop to load, sleeping iMac, waking up-
screen appears) so I could hurry up and update to 9.1 and apply the
4.1.3 firmware patch to (hopefully) fix the video problem. I was
very proud of myself and then did the worst- somehow I managed to
install a bad System,[..]

Unfortunately this 350 (Blueberry, non- DV) is right between the ones with the "regular" video connectors inside and the ones with a connector on the back. The connector inside is the exact same size as a floppy connector from old LCs and the like, but the patch I've seen is to bypass the onboard analog board and use the external connector on the DV models.

What I'd not seen anywhere is if it was possible to use the floppy cable to plug into the onbaord video connector and then patch to an external monitor without the presence of an external connector.
