The top and bottom slots for the iMac 233-333 (rev A-D) have the exact same pin patterns with the slot in the same place. If yours look different, try flipping it over side to side. The difference between the top and bottom dimms is that the bottom slot will only accept low profile ram (one row of chips). The top slot has clearance for either low profile or standard ram (two rows of chips). Crucial has only low profile dimms that will work in either slot. Their cost is also $120. If you look at :

1-800-4memory has a low profile dimm for $46.50 delivered. Be aware of one possible problem. The iMacs 233-333 had a max ram spec of 256mb when they were produced. I have had several occasions when I put two 256mb sticks in and the top stick would only register as 128mb.
