I am not after anything fantastic. I have a Sony Ericsson K700i which I use for
bluetooth and emails so basically all I need a PDA for is writing. It would be

I use a Palm Tungsten E, which comes bundled with Documents To Go by Dataviz. This allows you to edit documents on the handheld, and synchronise them with MS Word, Appleworks etc on the Mac.


Essential accessory: Palm Wireless Keyboard. Using the stylus for text input is fine for phone numbers and short notes, but not for "proper" writing.

Something I haven't tried myself, but which looks intriguing, is the Alphasmart Dana, a Palm OS device with a wider screen and a full-sized keyboard. Not pocket-sized, then, but portable. At �320 and <1kg, it might be worth a look:
