Thanks for all the great advice, Mathhew. I had tried to install iCab previously and it would not start after install, I have forgotten the details but they had to do with an extension I have to disable in order to run my ISP's high-speed modem. GRRRRR. Anyway, I tried again and the current download of iCab now works, albeit with some odd behaviour, so I am a much happier camper overall. Unfortunately the import function would not work directly for my IE favs, so I had to save them as an HTML file and then import them that way (much less effective). Oddly enough, the only conflict with iCab is my shareware graphics program, which is also a German product. When I run them together I get memory errors in the graphics program. How quaint ;-). In any case, I plan to get a used G3 Beige MT, install lots of RAM and start off with Panther on a 'new' machine. Then I will worry about upgrading the iMac.
