Well lets see one thing you can do is put a 333Mhz G3
in there relatively cheap which makes it a bit more
zippy. I've got one in my Bondi and it runs 10.3 just
fine.
Your Bondi either has 2 or 6 Megs of VRAM. There is a
little VRAM RAM chip in there on most of them but you
might have one without it.
With the 6 Megs of VRAM you can play Civ III pretty
well. Also Diablo II works fine in software mode, 6
Megs isn't enough to use the RAVE settings.
If you reboot into 9 and tweak the settings a bit you
can get high 20's frame rates in Unreal Tournament,
which is well enough to play, though 10 year olds with
uber computers will spank you immediately ;-D.
Another thing I've been toying around with trying is
getting one of those new Mac Minis and first turning
on file sharing then shutting it down, unhooking the
monitor cable and hooking it to the mac mini then
using booting both and just using the old internal 80
Gig I've got in my Bondi as an extra drive, accessing
it through my ethernet network. So with the 40 Gigs
in the base Mini plus my current 80 Gig I'd be doing
just fine and my old Bondi would be more or less top
of the line again ;-D.
I'll keep the list updated if I do end up getting the
mini and trying it.
