I am using an iMac 1 GHz PowerPC G4, Airport Extreme with Wireless Card Firmware Version: 3.4.4f5 (3.50.37.p4)
Here's the scenario:
1. I have the Airport Express plugged in and connected to my receiver to the CD l/r inputs ( I tried other inputs and tried a CD player with positive results)
2. I have my computer on.
3. I launch iTunes with with Airport already running
4. The iTunes window give me my choice of computer or "remote"
5. I click on remote, hit play and....
6. click click click click over the speakers
The receiver works with any other input.
I tried this with a laptop also on the same network, it also got the signal that the Express was receiving, but it exhibited the same symptoms.
Could the Airport Express be fried? How can I test it? I'm baffled. This has become my hobby.
