Anyway, I thought the iMac rev. A-D had a VGA adapter...
The Rev A-D (tray load) has an RGB connector, ie: the same style that all the other early Macs have. Some of the later slot load models have an external VGA connector (DE-15, 15 pins, 3 rows in a D-Shell connector).
When I started reading your mail I had a flashback to some of the iMacs I've tinkered with and you are so right. For some reason I pictured a VGA sockat/plug and therefore wondered what you meant, but now that I remember that it is indeed VGA, I of course know exactly what is meant by RGB in the Mac world. :o)
