The thing is that this scanner was a wind fall, a gift. Off hand I have no idea how I might use this thing right now.
At present I use my Mac for general business functions: spreadsheet, db, wp, accounting for my consulting business and some games after email and the net...
The scanner manual talk a little about optical character recognition. That might be fun. (boring) to save retyping.
I would simply like to get some output to decide if I want to investigate further.
What applications drive scanner? Which would you suggest? Rob

Commercial software for OS 9 can probably be found on Ebay etc. Bear in mind that bundled applications aren't generally essential: you'll probably find something else that will do the job as well or better.
The only app I recognise above is PhotoDeluxe, which was bundled with my Epson printer years ago. It's quite useful for tweaking scanned images, but you could use Graphic Converter instead.
I'd suggest thinking about how you want to use your scanner, and seeking the right software for the job, rather than trying to replicate the original software bundle.
