In Safari I assume you mean? (doesn't work quite the same in iCab.) You
can drag it just about anywhere.  Into another tab to load it there, into
the blank space on the tab bar to open a new tab.  To the finder to create
a web location file.  To a text window to copy the URL.  To anoher browser
to open it there.
