Anyone have any other ideas?

I am a little late reading this thread, so apologize for that.

It has always been my understanding that, when you are printing from a Classic application while booted in OS X, the printing relies upon the OS X printer setup, NOT the OS 9 printer setup. Of course, I could be wrong on that.

What I mainly wanted to mention is that I think this very question arose at one of our MUG meetings shortly after OS X first came out, when we had an Apple Canada representative at our meeting, and the answer was that there was indeed some sort of bug in the way Epson printers were handled. My vague recollection was that the Apple rep advised the user to delete an Epson folder located somewhere on his drive.

I know that doesn't help you much, but I am thinking that if this was indeed a verified issue, then you might be able to find it documented on the Apple Support web site by doing some kind of search under "Epson printers" or something like that. To get to the Apple Support web site, you just go to the Apple home page at www.apple.com and then click on the Support tab at the top of the screen.

Hope this helps, if you have not already found a solution.
