This is possibly a good idea - re: the cleaner but I would still not spray anything directly on to a laptop screen. I always spray onto to a soft, lint free cloth first and then wipe down the screen.
On an older iMac glass screen, I guess you could spray directly on the screen - I have seen many people do it - but I still prefer to just spray on the cloth and wipe.
