If you are running 10.3.8 then you don't need Adobe's Reader. The preview application ( included with OS) will open PDFs.

I'm totally confused about Adobe Reader versions. I'm running OSX 10.3.8 My Safari browser opens PDF documents using Adobe Reader 5.I believe this can with the original setup. I also have Adobe Reader 6 on my computer, but I understand this can't be integrated into Safari. Now I see there is Adobe Reader 7. Which version should I be using? Which version will integrate with Safari? How do I do this. How do I delete older versions.
Preview will open a downloaded pdf file. If you want to view pdf's in your browser, then Adobe Reader 7 will do that.
