Hi Group, Seeing as how Mary was so helpful, I thought I'd ask this one.
I create a file in any program and distil via acrobat (this problem is the same with any file), I save to desktop,(this next bit doesn't seem to matter if I change the extension or not) I then drag it to a USB flash disc, So I have one file on the flash disk (filename) the system is a Imac G3 400 running OSX 10.2.8.
I insert the flash disk into my Win 98se and open the disk and I have 3 files in there,
1. ( .Trashes)
2. ( ._filename)
3. ( filename)
Nothing I have can open any of these files in windows, I have tried PDF, EPS, PICT, JPEG and a host of others, I have tried saving the file to windows but is says the files are locked,
anyone ever encounter this before
cheers Wayne
