I have button 4 mapped to the Home key and button 5 mapped to command-
click (for opening links in a new tab in my browser du jour). I have
the MS mouse software tturned off in X11 so I can use buttons 4 or 5
for middle-clicking (button 3--the scroll wheel--is too wobbly IMO); in
many X11 programs, you paste text by middle clicking, and in Gnus/
Emacs, you middle-click links in messages to open them.
