The sticker that has the part number should say M6709LL/B. Before version B was created there probably was not a /B on any part number sticker.

I've decided to buy a new flyback and perform the open-Mac surgery myself. Problem is, I don't know which Revision iMac I have. If I provide the serial number, would this be of any help?

I think that it is a Revision B, because when I called AppleCare and gave them the serial number, they said it was a Revision B. But the original OS for the Revision B is 8.5.1, and it booted into 8.1

Thanks in advance...
