I've got a 400 MHz iMac G3 logic board with a processor that doesn't have a manufacturer logo anywhere on it but is marked XPC750 PRX400SE.
I've seen a 500 MHz logic board out of a Summer 2000 non-Dalmatian, non-Flower Power G3 iMac that has a clearly identifiable IBM processor on the board. It looks identical to my 600 MHz board.
To further confuse the issue, here's what FastMac says: "Slot- loading iMac Flower Power or Blue Dalmatian, and any model 600MHz or above, used an IBM CPU rather than a Motorola CPU. IBM never made a G4 chip." FastMac put an Motorola G4 chip in my iMac G3/400 SE DV, and this was their explanation for why they can't put IBM G4 chips in 350-450 MHz and "most" 500 MHz G3 iMacs.
I'm still confused.
