I'll second that! My iMac G5 didn't come with bluetooth installed but I followed Apple's suggest of what bluetooth dongle to buy and got the wireless keyboard and mouse. I used them and said "WOW" each time! But, the mouse uses batteries like I change underwear! I was playing Command and Conquer Generals:Zero Hour and in the middle of a 'fierce' battle, the batteries in the mouse died. I had to force quit the game (after I was totally beaten by my opponent (computer was the opponent). After that, I put the USB keyboard and mouse back on the iMac!
Thanks.....love bluetooth, but not in a mouse!

Larry,
I have the 20" Rev 1 with wireless keyboard and mouse. Guess it should be a cheaper option now that BT is builtin - but the benefits are dubious. Apart from the wow factor, they go through batteries quickly (esp the mouse) (using rechargeables so not so costly or environmentally unfriendly) but you still need to have a wired kb & mouse for setup. Also there is a delay of 10 - 15 seconds waking from sleep before the KB & mouse are recognised.

All up; think I should have got wired.

    YMMV

Subject: iMac G5 - Wireless keyboard / mouse ???

I am just about to buy a brand new rev.2 iMac G5 17"
but I cannot decide about the keyboard/mouse.

Are the wireless keyboards/mice any good ?

I have never used a Bluetooth mouse.

Is the keyboard the same as the current iMac/G5 ?

I think so - doesn't feel too bad, a little tighter might be nice.

(a bit cheaper feel than the "old" Pro-keyboard)

Any opinions gratefully received.

Larry
