I'm a bit late to the fray, but I recently upgraded my 400 mHz iMac
DV SE to a 120 GB hard drive, and it works great. Better than before
by all measures.

I have an iMac DV G3 400(?) with 10gb hard drive. I'd like to
replace it with a 40gb that I have from another drive that went
bad (the bridge went bad, drive is fine, tried it another firewire
enclosure)- I am just looking for reassurance that the DV will
support a 40gb drive?
(Geez, for the effort, I'd throw an 80gb or 120gb in there- will
it be alright?)
It will support it -- but, why waste the effort for only a 40-gigger?
