Tracks in file form are useful and highly portable.
Can you not obtain the same material from say a compact disc?
Of course! And in fact, ripping your own can produce files that are
much higher quality than any commercial-download site. But why buy a
whole CD when you only what a few tracks? Then there's the unsigned
independent artists. Their music may not be available as a CD, just
as tracks downloaded from their web site.
In Canada where I live everything costs way more than stateside, for starters.
Canada is an interesting place. Great campsites. I know a lot of
overseas folx that buy their DVDs from Canada - much cheaper than
buying locally. And you have *Hershey's Canada* YUM. :) Did I
mention Hershey's Canada?
Secondly the music the I listen to isn't this hard rock boom boom
boom music that so many seem to favour.
I have a rather eclectic taste in music; always looking for new and
different. The mass-marketed hip-hop/rap stuff makes my brain cramp.

addresses. So I made a playlist (.pls) file out of 'em. This should
be directly usable in Audion etc.
