First of all, the swp list is the best place to look. However, in
case you don't know about the various 'books, I'll post some info in
here. I could hook you up with a 1400, but keep in mind the
limitations I list below.
Well, the Powerbook 1400 will run OS 9 well once upgraded, but has a
RAM limit of 64 megs, unless you install a 256 meg flash card via
PCMCIA and use that for memory purposes.
The next step up is the 3400, which can also run 9 well enough, but
has a max RAm of 144 megs. I believe you could pull the same trick
with the 3400 as the 1400.
On to the G3's.
iBooks:
Any iBook will do the trick, as they can handle 288 megs of RAM in
the earliest clamshells, 320 in others. The dual USB models all
handle 640 megs or more. All will run OS 9, and most likely OS X as
well.
Powerbook G3's:
The original G3 powerbook will only take up to 160 megs of RAM. The
Wallstreets and Pismos will take 512 megs of RAM and the Lombards are
limited to 384 megs.
Once again, all will take OS 9.
