I just purchased a 1.25-GHz G4 17'' flat-panel iMac that I want to
upgrade from the original 256MB RAM. I know that Apple's
specifications state that 1 GB is the maximum, 512 MB in each slot, yet
several online vendors say that you can put up to 1 GB modules in each
slot, up to a 2-GB maximum. I would appreciate comments on this from
those with experience or expertise in such memory working in and being
recognized by this model iMac.
