Hello again list,
I posted yesterday about Help Viewer displaying a blank window.
There were some answers but they wouldn't solve the problem. So I
went on the Apple site at Tiger Help/discussion and found that some
people have encounterer tis problem. And it's a common one. So here
is the solution found on the "thexlab" site provided via the link in
the page. I'm soo glad.

Help Viewer displays a blank window
Symptom
You launch Help Viewer but, instead of displaying the default Help
information, the window is blank.
Causes
Corrupted Help Viewer preferences files or cache.
Missing MacHelp.help file.
Solutions
1. Corrupted Help Viewer preferences files or cache
Quit Help Viewer if it is open.
Open your Home > Library > Preferences folder.
Trash the following three files, it extant:
com.apple.help.plist
com.apple.helpui.plist
com.apple.helpviewer.plist
Open your Home > Library > Caches folder.
Trash the com.apple.helpui folder.
Empty the Trash.
When you next launch Help Viewer, you may notice that the Library
menu (Tiger, Panther) or the Help Center (Jaguar) lists Help for
only a few applications. This is not a problem. When you next launch
applications that provide Help via Help Viewer, their Help will
again be listed in the Library menu or Help Center.
