Sounds like it should work; however i have not specifically tried this. You should probably expect to do some troubleshooting after installation, perhaps a reinstallation of the system, but i am not shure about that. As far as i have read and worked with my rev d, i do not think that there is too much difference between the 4 revisions of tray loading iMacs, other than processor speed, hd size and possibly some difference in firmware.
