Hi On Tiger you can tell what speed and setting your Ethernet is running in the System Profiler ie, 100BaseT Full Duplex.
How do you find this out on Panther? The only suggestion I have had so far is to use my Tiger machine to be a target disk mode and then boot my G4 using it.
