I can tell you what is probably wrong and why it shuts down on her. There
is quite possibly not enough memory allocated to the Apple 6 to enable it to
do all the work that she is storing on it and operate normally. At this
time I am embarrassed to say that I have to fix my wife's Apple 6 as hers
is doing the same thing. She has been after me for a week now. I know what
the problem is but as I run Apple 6 on 9.2 all the time I still haven't
found where to allocate the memory on OSX. Someone else may know I hope Do
not despair, it's a simple problem I'm sure. Also, if she is maintaining a
large file in "recent Items" or saving documents in any other part of Apple
6, it would be better to save them elsewhere. Make the Text doc's, simple
text or Jpegs whatever, and store them in a folder. Don't save them as
Appleworks documents as they maintain memory from apple works. A quick fix
to her problem would probably to clean it out and return the memory it had.
Hope this helps......ED
