Geez, what a find! I found a computer as well (last week). It wasn't a mac though...it was a Pentium III/256/20GB. Booted right up. People through anything anyway!
Don't waste your time with it (the hard drive NOT the iMac). Even if you got it up and running it will have problems again. I don't know if you have the cash but after reading today's circulars there are some great buys on Seagate drives for around $35. The best reason for dumping the iMac drive and getting a new one is, the new one will be a 7200rpm with a 1GB backside cache. The iMac was a 5400rpm with a 512 backside cache. You will see and feel a speed increase. My opinion is the Graphite is worth the drive upgrade. MaxTek P.S. Must've been a b*tch carrying the mac and keyboard back home on your bike.
