i have a bondi blue imac that has been working well, but i wanted to
upgrade. after some research i decided to buy 2x viking mimac/128L
ram
modules and a seagate 5400 / 20gb drive. i installed all today and
when i
installed the system software it won't let me start up from the
harddrive.
it still only starts up from the install cd. when i open the
harddrive on
the desktop i see the system software in there and i also see in
"about this
computer" that the new ram is being recognized.
i have tried to start up without the cd in the tray but i keep
getting the
question mark.
You should try a re-install of the system software (what version?),
and check to see if your firmware is up to date (I think it should be
4.1.9fc or something like that).

Claiming that the Macintosh is inferior to Windows because most
people use Windows is like saying that all other restaurants are
inferior to McDonald's.
