Hi list,

What would be a cheap but Mac-compatible alternative ISP? I assume dial-up is least expensive, but so many aren't compatible with Mac. I currently have broadband through Comcast, which is great - but I just can't afford it right now. I've also found that I'm using the internet much less frequently
than I used to. What about DSL?

Any recommendations?

Gerry

I'm using SBC Yahoo! DSL pro version ($24.99 per month for the first year), which gives me downloads of real-world 2.5+ mpbs and uploads in excess of 400 kbps. There's a $14.95 version that's about half as fast. These prices are available only if you order online. And, given the way broadband prices are going, I expect to be paying the same rate when my first year is up next May. So if you live in an SBC area (giving your city or Zip Code would have helped us give you a more intelligent response), check it out. I'm very happy with SBC DSL, which supports my Macs satisfactorily.
