Anybody know the extent to which the internal parts on the emac are
interchangeable? Like the logic board, down converter, monitor, etc.

Interchangeable ... with what?

Have you ever been inside an eMac? You don't want to go in there. The "guts" are so tied together and unified that the replacement is all one big piece and called a "hemisphere" by Apple.

Let's put it this way ... I work in a Mac repair shop. We take apart computers all day. We don't disassemble eMacs -- we (can) replace the actual CRT tube, the "hemisphere," and the hard drive and RAM. That's it -- anything else is far too much work, and not feasible for us to do. That's not to say it's impossible, but we don't think it's worth it -- and trust me, we get paid a fair amount per hour.

Cheers
Chas
