By plenty I mean enough that anti virus software at least had a point for those that were paranoid so it could stop the 30 or 40 depending on the OS version... relative speaking to Windows, OS 9 and prior should be considered "virus free"... at least by the standards that the FDA uses to determine if something is "fat free" :-) -chris Chris, Are you saying that the Norton Anti-Virus programs that I have operating on my iMac 350 Blueberry and Titanium PowerBook (both running OS 9.1.1) is a waste of megage and time? I know that Macs are pretty well virus-free critters, but what about some of the cross- platform emails, websites, etc. that I occasionally run into (and download items from)? Will I still have to be concerned with that, even though I¹m accessing them from my iMac? On another note, I get a ton of spam, also, and I have set up a number of Mail Rules in my OE mail program. I don¹t know if there is a limit to how many rules you can create, but I¹ve got some set up for ³no subject², ³no body text², ³Rolex² and ³watches² (I get a bunch of these), and various other sphamish convolutions. All get sent to my Delete Folder, then once I confirm as spham, trashed. Seems to work for me. Great list here!! I always look forward to reading the digests.
