According to <http://www.speedtools.com/ATA6.shtml> it appears the internal
128GB limit can be exceeded by partitioning using SpeedTools ATA Hi-Cap
Support Driver (available separately from the SpeedTools suite.) Depending
on the size of the new drive, the $24.95 price may be cost-effective. There
are certain iMacs that will still have problems.

I keep to 120 GB on internal drives but have a 160 GB and a 200 GB on
external Firewire/USB 1.1. All my external drives are partitioned in such
a way that no useable partition spans the 127.99 GB sour spot just in case
I need to install either of them as an internal drive.
