Don't throw anything away. It would be real annoying if you had to pay
good money for some part, like an optical drive or hard disk. I can't
find much information on the original RAM configuration of the iMac
G4. It may be possible if you have the original RAM to upgrade one
with another. The other option, is that you could rip it apart and
sell things like the RAM on eBay.
