I have an iMac Rev. B still running OS 8.6. Recently I received an
almost complete boxed copy of OS X from a freecycler. I say almost
because the box contained everything but the Mac OS 9 CD. Now to
upgrade the iMac to OS X, I have to install OS 9 first & I don't have it.
So the question is, where can I get a copy of the OS 9 CD for free (or
as close to it as possible - I don't want to spend much on the old
iMac). I tried through the local freecycle group but didn't get any
responses. I will be able to download it if someone puts it on their
server or something. I have the license for OS X which includes the
license for OS 9 so getting the OS shouldn't be illegal (I think)
Thanks for any leads.
