It's a miracle cure!! I was able to run Disk Utility after removing
the files you mentioned. Thanks for the wonderful information!
BTW, were there reports that this problem with iTunes only caused
problems with running Disk Utility or did it also cause the kinds of
problems I was having with files/applications behaving oddly.
