While trying to upgrade my slot-loading imac 350mhz from 10.1.5 to 10.3 I
began encountering a video problem. In trying to fix this I tried zapping
the PRAM. Just after this I found the unit shuts down a few seconds after
being turned on, before there is even a picture at all. Any idea what may
be causing this and how to fix it?
Is there a cuda switch on these, and if so, where? Also, in the event I
need it, can someone point me to a take-apart guide?
Check the battery. I just ran into a SL 350MHz iMac that would bong
and then just sit there (although the light stayed on IIRC). Battery
was at 1.9V. I pulled it for now and it works.
