Look in the Console app for errors related to the program, it should  
tell you what's going on. If it's crashing, there should be a crash  
log generated as well, you can also view those in the Console app and  
will be mainly of use to the author of the application.

In either case, contacting the softwqre authors or forum sites has a  
far higher chance of success...
