Comcast's upstream in the Seattle Area has been upgraded and it's in the
700-900 kb range for most of my clients.  I think it's happening in most
places.

VNC ports for forwarding I think are 5901 5902 in that range and sometimes
the port forwarding options on a router are hidden under "gaming" options
