I know nothing about OSX2.8 (I started at 10.4) so this advice may not be
valid, but just in case: have you looked in the Trash to see if you have
somehow moved Camino there?

Failing that, surely someone on this list (me?) could email you the DMG for
a browser of your choice if you can't download it?
