Hey Bruce, thanks for the reply.

The USB flash drive problems I'm having have to do with the fact that
sometimes the finder will complain that "there is a problem reading
the drive". This forces me to "eject" the volume, pull it from the
bus, and then plugging it back in.

It happens randomly. Sometimes it will work for awhile, and then have
the error out of the blue.

And yes, I've tried plugging it directly into the computer.

I don't get it. It's pissing me off because sometimes it will get
caught in a loop, and I lose data from the drive.
