Also, at least in the latest offerings, Apple's even competitive on RAM prices...it used to be a golden rule of buying a Mac was get it from Apple with minimum RAM because they always charged out the wazoo....the last few system people have ordered here I've compared prices; adding RAM at the Apple store is as cheap as getting it from a reputable 3rd party supplier.
