Nope, this is an issue with Windows. Start a Windows system up with a  
USB mouse, it will recognize it. hut it down, move the mouse to a  
different port, Windows has to go through the whole process again.

Gobsmackingly stupid.

The Mac will immediately recognize any mouse plugged in. (I've done  
this to test USB mice. I know that both mice work, never tried to move  
both at once to see what happened. :-)
