Apple mail does it too.  It's the way he formats his email that is  
the problem, not your email program.  Yeah, it drives me nuts, too.   
All you have to do is to create a rule to move his email to the  
appropriate folder when it arrives.  I just haven't had the time to  
deal with it.  I keep hoping this person figures out how to correctly  
configure their email program and it will stop. Shrug.  It isn't you. :)
