Is the Battery for Tray loading (233/266/333 MHz) & Slot Loading iMAC's (350/400/450/500/600/700 MHz) the same battery? I need to change a battery for a Tray Loader and may have to help a friend with a Slot Loader. Both don't keep the date/time when turned off and/or unplugged.
They both have different parts #'s from apple but I think they are a Lithium battery @ 3.6 Volt, 1/2 AA size, 850 ma rating. Is this correct and can I get a cheaper battery from Wall-Mart or any PC computer store (camera batteries, special types, etc)? Please list brands and model types for replacement if you know any for me to look for. How much trouble is it to change a battery in both models?
