Hi All...

Anyone know what the impedance is for the audio input jack on my iMac
(Intel early 2008)?
I have an older piece of equipment whose audio output normally drives
a 4K ohm magnetic headphone.
Audio quality isn't a big issue... the output is just occasional
spikes with some low level background noise.
Looking to write a program to count the spikes and develop some
statistical values.
Do I need to build/find an impedance matching circuit or is it close
enough to for a direct connection to work?
I can use one of my G4/G3 towers or my Powerbook as well.

Thanks for any advice...

Amanda
