Rob, Your eMac can run Mac OS 9. If it's one with USB 1.1 ports, it can boot directly into Mac OS 9.2.2. If it's one with USB 2.0 ports, you can run Mac OS 9.2.2 in Classic Mode under Mac OS X versions through 10.4.11. There should be no need to emulate an Intel Mac unless you have a game that won't run in Classic Mode.
If you're using Leopard, you need an emulator, and Sheepshaver <http:// sheepshaver.cebix.net/> is a universal binary, so it should run on your eMac.
