Regarding the spam messages sent to this and other LEM lists without a subject line, these were likely the result of security compromises of Yahoo email accounts.
I recommend that anyone who can sub to LEM groups with something other than a Yahoo account do so. If you have a Yahoo email account subbed to one of the LEM lists and find that your posts are moderated, that would be the reason. I removed the spam messages from the archives, so you will not find them there. I think there is no reason for further discussion on the list of this issue.
